Mana Foundations

We have our foundations in place since early April and if you look at the pictures you can start to see the simplicity and eco benefits of our design. Note that there is no trench , no concrete, and no pipework in the ground.

The piles look like this

and have been driven into the ground with a large screwdriver like this.

The screw piles are 2m long and they have been added to in order to enable them to be driven down to a depth where the strength is as required by the structure of the house. In one case this was 8 metres.

The whole process took 2 days.

Now we are awaiting the timber frame to go on top!
