Our Location

Howle Hill is only 10 minutes from Ross-on-Wye

Guests are spoilt for choice for things to do and see around here!

Our home ‘Caenwood’ sits on top of Howle Hill, which is on the borders of Herefordshire, Forest of Dean and Monmouthshire.  It is abundant with beautiful hedge-lined paths and lanes that lead into ancient woodlands.

We are only 10 minutes away from the lovely market town of Ross-on-Wye with its many independent shops and cafes.  Ross-on-Wye is easily accessed by local and national buses: Stagecoach and National Express.

Local sights such as Goodrich Castle, the River Wye, Symonds Yat Rock and the Forest of Dean can be explored by foot or cycle from our home, and main routes are easily accessed by car: M50, A40, Bristol, and Cardiff, Wales.

Local train stations are Hereford, Gloucester and  Ledbury, which are only 30 minutes away by car (and 40 minutes by local bus)

It’s a perfect place to step into Wales, the Cotswolds and three other local counties: Gloucestershire,  Worcestershire and Shropshire.
